Technology Council Announces Call for Participants for
CREATE Innovation Festival 2015 part of the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival 

PITTSBURGH  – The Pittsburgh Technology Council (PTC) today announced the 2015 Call for Artists, Entries and Presenters for the next iteration of Pittsburgh’s seventh annual Design, Art and Technology event.  CREATE (Changing Realities and Experiences through Art and Technology Explorations) is a three-day festival, featuring the most exciting and innovative debuts in Creative Technology.

Presented in partnership with Carnegie Mellon University and the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, CREATE 2015 features a multi-day line-up ofart, tech, workshops, panels, performances, awards and opportunities to engage in the newest trends in creativity and innovation. CREATE is a mashup of networking, interactivity and inspiration, showcasing more than 50 of the year’s most innovative art and technology projects.

Individuals and companies working at the intersection of creativity and technology are encouraged to: submit recent projects for the annual  CREATEfest Awards; propose compelling workshops, talks or panels to raise awareness of creative technology trends in this year’s theme of “Interconnectivity; and propose ideas for engaging arts and technology experiences throughout the festival. Typical participants include: artists; gamers; entrepreneurs; makers; app and software developers; roboticists; musicians; designers; museums; advertising agencies; corporations working in research & creativity; new media educators; students; and community event directors.

The event kicks off on Wednesday,June 10, 2015 with a Creative Clash Mixer, followed by the full-day Innovation Salon Art + Technology Exhibition and the CREATEfest Awards Party on Thursday, June 11, 2015 – along with two days of interactive programming.  CREATE will feature hundreds of attendees, and participants from all around the country.
